On March 9, 2021, the Hydropower Foundation and the U.S. Department of Energy ‘s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory are hosting a STEM to Marine Energy Dialogue Workshop, part of the ongoing DOE Water Power Technologies Office’s STEM Dialogue Series, to discuss the Marine Energy Collegiate Competition (MECC). The dialogue will review the structure and requirements of the first two MECCs to gather feedback and lessons learned that can be used to structure future competitions. The MECC offers a valuable opportunity for students, providing real-world experience, education on the benefits and possibilities of marine energy, and a solid foundation for decision making in any field.  If you followed or participated in previous MECCs, are interested in learning more about the competition, or would like to share thoughts on what organizers can do to improve the competition, please register for the free workshop.
