Part of the ongoing STEM Dialogue Series, this month’s STEM to Hydro Dialogue Workshop engages with industry and academia to discuss a potential competition designed to attract college-level students interest in hydropower.
As a participant of this free workshop, taking place on August 12, 2021 at 3 p.m. MT, you will help us determine the need for and possible structure of a collegiate hydropower competition.
Inspired by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office’s (WPTO) Marine Energy Collegiate Competition, the competition provides students with real-world experience, valuable education on the possibilities of hydropower, and a solid foundation for decision making when establishing their career paths.
With DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, join the Hydropower Foundation and lend your expertise to the DOE Water Power Technologies Office’s efforts to develop a strong hydropower workforce in the United States.
