Usha Khatiwada (Ph.D. scholar), is currently in the position of CEO of NRN Infrastructure & Development Limited. She has been able to secure investment in more than five big hydropower projects of national priority along with other investment avenues . She has more than 17 years of experience in the various capacities in hydro sectors of Nepal. She has been actively involved in strategic management and planning .Usha is so passionate and dedicated that she has participated in a number of national and international conferences as a hydro speaker in the USA, France, Netherlands, Korea, Japan, Srilanka, Vietnam and Nepal. She has actively advocated for youths and female empowerment in various fields encouraging girls and women.
She had led as a volunteer for Girls in Tech, Nepal, serving as ambassador for Global Tech, and engaged as mentor in Gwnet and various organizations. She has represented as a judge numerous times for various Hackathons and Hultz prizes. She has been award winner as 50 Leading lights of Asia Pacific –Kindness and Leadership -2021, awarded with International diversity role model-2021 during Diversity in Tech Award-2021, World Changing Women 2020- organized by Conscious Media Company, Sonoma USA and listed as most influential women and Corporate women of the year by RSTCA ,Nepal, 2020.She is also an invited member for the Capital forum formed under FNCCI,2021.She serves as Board of Director for Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower project (73 MW).

Over the past years, I have been participating in and speaking at career fairs at the University of Rhode Island – Ocean Engineering and the University of Maryland – College Park Scholars program. I also am working closely with Cornell University – Engineering School and its Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future and have participated on many panels at Columbia University and NYU. Currently, I am working with interns from the University of Chicago and Bard College. I am co-founder of Verdant Power and Chief Commercial Officer, providing strategy and direction for the company as well as product development, customer service, and marketing support. I have over 35 years of experience in business management and development, and marketing communications. I served on the Board of the Hydro Research Foundation; the Advisory Board, as Chairman of the R&D Committee, for NHA (National Hydropower Association); and as a Charter Board Member of the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition. I am serving my tenth year on the Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee to the U.S. Secretary of the Department of Commerce. My graduate studies are in Urban Education from the University of Minnesota. I hold a B.S. in Political Science and History from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

Deborah Linke is the President of Linke Consulting. Her consulting practice focuses on strategic asset management and federal agency relationships. Prior to this Ms. Linke served as Executive and Program Directors for the Hydro Research Foundation, where she instituted the Hydro Fellows Program and developed a strategic plan for the Foundation. She also works on HydroVision, an international hydropower conference.
Prior to this she served Manager of the Power Resources Office for the Bureau of Reclamation. Her office was responsible for strategic planning, power policy and practices, benchmarking, power asset management strategy, power reviews, reliability compliance and providing corporate power approaches for Reclamation’s 58 powerplants.
During her 35 plus years of federal service, she has worked in the former E&R center and two regional offices for Reclamation, for Congress and the Department of the Interior in Washington DC, and for Western Area Power Administration as head of rates and power marketing for the agency.
In addition to her career in public service, she has been active in her community with Into Your Hands Africa, Bootstraps Scholarships and Loans, and the American Red Cross Disaster Service Technology. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Stanford University.
