Water Power Clubs

Strengthening the future hydropower workforce through campus–industry connection

Water Power Club logo

The Hydropower Foundation’s Water Power Clubs are a national network of student-led organizations that connect universities with the hydropower industry. Through this program, the Foundation supports career awareness, workforce development, and industry engagement across hydropower and marine energy.

Water Power Clubs facilitate collaboration between academia and industry by providing access to guest speakers, technical programming, mentorship, and career pathways. The program also supports hands-on learning opportunities such as facility tours and exposure to real-world applications of water power.

By building early connections between emerging talent and industry professionals, Water Power Clubs help address workforce needs and ensure a strong, prepared pipeline for the future of clean, reliable energy.

Campus Outreach

Connecting campuses with the resources, partnerships, and opportunities shaping the future of hydropower

We aim to connect colleges and universities with the tools and industry access needed to support student success in water power. By joining the network, campuses gain access to educational materials, industry partnerships, and opportunities to participate in Foundation programs. This includes engagement with professionals, exposure to career pathways, and integration into a broader community focused on workforce development. Campus Outreach ensures institutions are equipped to introduce students to hydropower and provide meaningful connections to the clean energy industry.
