An education scholarship program for women enrolled in their sophomore – senior year during the 2026/2027 academic year at an accredited college or university and majoring in a discipline relevant to entering a career related to hydropower. The scholarship recipient is selected using criteria in line with merit and financial need. The Scholarship Committee will review each application using the following categories: Personal essay, outside appraisal, extracurricular activities, awards & honors, academic performance, and unusual personal or family circumstances.

Julie Keil promoted hydropower as a renewable energy technology and a responsible steward of the nation's water resources. She helped unite disparate and often dissenting individuals to work toward common goals through her leadership, courage, and strength. Her keen negotiating skills helped create outcomes that reflected fair dealing and the intricate relationship among engineering, the environment, and economics. In addition, she brought uncommon energy, persistence, and enthusiasm to all her efforts on behalf of the hydropower community.

Either a copy of an official transcript of grades or a copy of the official transcript must be sent with this application. Grade reports are not acceptable. Students currently or previously enrolled in college or vocational-technical school must include all college or vocational-tech transcripts of grades from each school attended. Unofficial transcripts must display student name, school name, grade, credit hours earned for each course, and the term each course was taken.
